A pair of Chinese famille rose hat stands, late 19th century

 

of hexagonal form, each vase with pierced quatrefoil apertures and painted with roosters in a flowering meadow, an apocryphal Tongzhi period mark to the base

 

The style of decoration resembles closely that of Tongzhi period wares but the paste and finish of the foot indicates a dating to the guangxu period.

Condition:
In good condition overall with no restoration.
